GLEE Contest at SmartPop

Apr 10, 2010 19:46

In case anyone else loves the TV show Glee, HERE is a chance to win copies of an upcoming anthology of essays about the show by sharing your own, real-life account of what Glee has meant to you as a fan.

Along with $50, you can win 5 copies of the book once it's published next Fall. I'll have an essay in it, and I only get 2 copies :-)

Happy writing.

That's so exciting, Von! I've never watched Glee, but my cousin is introducing me tonight. I can't wait.

Congratulations!

Thank you--I've worked with this publisher before and I really like their work. (I only wish I could've gotten into the Buffy anthology!) Enjoy GLEE!

I just got done watching it and I really, REALLY like Sue Silvester. She's evilly awesome!

(As a side note, I started painting you this picture, but it got out of hand. It's HUGE! I got the idea from that BBT/Firefly crossover. T'will be epic...I think. ^^)

Isn't FaythBrady's crossover delightful--I'm really, really enjoying it? Add Firefly to anything and it becomes twice as wonderful. Like the Castle Halloween episode when Rick dressed as "a space cowboy" (aka Mal), or the occasional shout-out on Chuck, like when Casey called his Crown Vic "shiny." 13 episodes, not all of them even aired, and the show has this kind of ripple effect? Now that? Is a television series.

Which is a long way of saying: a picture?!? SQUEE!!!

On the GLEE front -- when the evil people are supposed to be evil, a show can be all kinds of fun, can't it? If you haven't seen the first half of season 1 yet, let me share with you my favorite Sue threat: "I will go to the animal shelter and get you a kitty cat. I will let you fall in love with that kitty cat. And then, on some dark, cold night, I will steal away into your home and punch you in the face!" Gods, I love a good fake-out.

Not sure I understand your whole post, but... thanks? As it turns out, I missed a big deadline and didn't end up in the Glee anthology. But hopefully whoever won the contest enjoyed it, all the same ;)
