It's just excellent in every way! In retrospect the misdirection seems so obvious, but that's the trick, isn't it? Characters drawn with quick clean strokes (I love Lettice) and all that wryness about village gossip, and Miss Marple quietly and persistently knowing all. So good.
"I said mildly that though doubtless Miss Marple knew next to nothing of Life with a capital L, she knew practically everything that went on in St. Mary Mead."
