The job hunt that wasn't

Mar 03, 2010 14:14

The short version: I'm employed as of tomorrow. I didn't send out a single CV. I probably won't be going to Pennsic.

The longer version )

work, job hunt

It's a foot in the door, at least. Good luck, and I hope to see you at Roses, then.

congrats! At the unemployment seminar I went to they said that these days like 75% of job hunting is networking and I'd say you have that concept licked!

Aren't you glad you decided to go to Pennsic last year?

I've been to every Pennsic since 2003, with the exception of 2005. I've got a lot of friends there. I'm truly bummed out about not going, and I'm still hoping to figure out a way that I can make it work.

Good for you, Hon. I'm very gald for you and proud of you. You couldn't have gotten the job that quickly if you hadn't already impressed Prof. Krantz and then reinforced his recommendation during the interview.

Don't worry about Pennsic, everything will work out in the long run. Besides, you know the saying, "Vera vita maxima!"

Wonderful news on the job!

Sad news on Pennsic.

There is always next year though.

I'm going to register anyway, on the off-chance that I can make it work. At worst, I'm out $100, and you've got some extra space in the camp.
