Facebook and business

I have a facebook account and use it, it's fun. I have several magician friends who do as well, and some of them point potential customers to their facebook accounts. So far all very handy use of social media ( Read more... )

A sincere question deserves a sincere answer.

What my reply would hinge on is, is this person open to feedback.

If they will immediately consider you as part of the target out-group they don’t like without thinking, and lash out mindlessly, then i would he hesitant.

If they were open to at least listening i would try to, tactfully express my feelings. They may pleasantly surprise you.

Rosiewook makes a good point below, people will see things that they have written, on your page. Your page is a reflection on you.

On the whole negotiation and compromise will usually bear fruit. You may ask them to filter you out of the political stuff.

I wouldnt mind divergent opinions being expressed, but if it was a hopeless as you describe, and others wouldn’t be allowed to speak, then I would feel free to un friend them. I would at least make a effort to stop it coming to that.

I started a new Facebook with my full name for business because I am sure most of my clients would NOT like a wedding photographer who is a raging libertarian, poly, and atheist too.
