So I just finished watching the new movie of Evangelion. And it was freaking amazing I was really blown away. Don't get me wrong, I loved the original, the old classic 90s animation is just perfect, yet this new stuff is just...beautiful. They totally re-did a lot of the fighting scenes making them look amazing and far better than the original. ( Read more... )

ummm thats true...but you never know. sometimes they can take it in a total different direction. it was mainly me not getting my hopes up.

ahh detective conan. that's case closed, right? kevin and i watched one of the case closed movies at connecticon last summer when they didn't show nana.

THAT WAS SOME GOOD SHIT.

yeah it is. steve sort of got me into it...since steve is like the ultimate detective in our group of friends.

yeah, i remember it was something about a housing developer guy, and there were all sorts of bomb threats, like at a railroad track where the bombs kept getting reset because they were running off solar energy and they were on the tracks and kept getting covered by the shadows of the trains....ahhh, it was so good. it's kind of mind-boggling to think about how ridiculously talented the people are behin the series. i mean, how do they keep coming up with such good/clever ideas?! it's just crazy.

yeah that guy that writes the manga is really smart. from what steve tells me, so far none of the crimes have been the same.
