I checked with my store last week to make sure they still had me on the pull list for The Eltingville Club. Can't wait to get it in my hot little hands.
I just read the newest (and last) issue of Eltingville last night and it was definitely worth the wait. Seeing all of the details you put into each page makes me wonder how you got it done in ONLY a year!
I haven't been to San Diego for ComicCon since 2000 but a friend invited me to share his table in 2016. After reading this issue I don't know if I could handle the chaos!
Great job and congrats on getting it done, out the door, and (for now) out of your life!
Thanks very much. The last time we went to SD was in 2000 as well -- and we thought back then it was out of hand. I can only imagine.
One thing, it's different --although these days I don't know how much different -- if you're behind the table or if you're in the aisles. Just bring water, stay behind the table as much as possible, and as early as possible locate the closest and/or least busy bathroom. Game plans.
Just put Eltingville #2 down. What an intense and moody epilogue to this anarchic series of short pieces over the last couple decades.
It felt like this was the epic finale to a 5 to 7 year run of the adult swim series from an alternate universe, especially with the Comic-Con crowd scene backdrops. The density of the text and images induced a strong claustrophobia/anxiety-driven gut punch. Not least of all for me, on a personal level, triggering shell-shocked flashbacks from a 20+ year childhood friendship filled with constant Eltingville-style fights (recently ruptured for good in one final insane anti-semitic meltdown on their part). So yeah, freakin' great read but utterly depressing. I relate only too much.

Can't wait for the collection.
Now I need a bit of a lie down.
