I started watching the Taiwanese adaptation of Hana-Kimi today on YouTube thanks to ziggybecket. I lovelovelove the manga so I was skeptical of the T-drama being that most of them kinda suck. ^^; Then somehow, I always end up watching a handful of them when I am over there visiting my mom's side of the fam, haha. I really should use Netflix. =\ Get all them old movies I haven't seen yet, that I should, like Pulp Fiction, Memento, Amelie, etc. The ones that came out when I wasn't 18 yet. DX

I saw Promise at a special screening that the director attended. Man, that was disappointing. So often it seems like when they make a movie with an ensemble cast of several big name stars, the movie sucks. I guess it's no different in Asia. But the villain dude's hair totally wins! I would be amazed to discover that someone actually wore their hair that way, way back then in ancient historical fantasy time. That would be awesome.

I wasn't that satisfied when I saw House of Flying Daggers either. =\ I haven't seen Hero or Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon yet.

LOL, yes! I loved his hair! XD Made me wanna cosplay from the movie cuz the costumes were so cool, well only the villian's was cool and maybe the dude in the black feather cloak. =\

I thought Daggers was okay, but the ending lagged. I liked all the forest people in green. They looked to me like the Elves of Lothlorien, if Lord of the Rings had been made as a Chinese wuxia movie.

Hero & Crouching Tiger were better tho, especially the visual imagery of Hero.

I find it odd how I'm not satisfied w/ the sad endings of the Chinese movies I watch but then I'm disappointed when I see a happy ending in American movies, lol.

I'll hafta rent those two then. I'm not a big fan of Jet Li, though...JACKIE CHAN FTW. J/k... >.>;
