[ someone has been neglecting to use this device as of late, it seems. there is the faint sound of electricity-- familiar to most here, probably-- before something that sounds like laughter, though it is somewhat hollow. ]The timing of this device is certainly quite interesting-- I wonder if that, too, is the work of those in charge

Thinking of them picking favorites does seem a little absurd. Unless that includes special treatment that one would not exactly enjoy.
