My books to read list for this vacation that cannot come soon enough. Random? Nnah. I read Beloved last year in Contemporary Literature. About teh ghost babies. Even after I had finished the whole thing, I wasn't sure whether I liked it or not. It definitely made me think- but it was kind of more of a "wtf is happening"? than "OMG REVELATION". It has a lot of the supernatural in it, which was cool, but you had to suspend your disbelief a lot. Plus, it isn't told in chronological order. I guess I should have said that first. It's told in a circular format that they use in African story telling. The chronology isn't too confusing, but a lot of times the points of view and the language are. You might hate it, but then again, you might think it's awesome. I think I was somewhere in between. Arg, I am terrible at explaining things, but you should read the book who is by Niffenegger, because that is a sweet last name.

Where did you find information about these books? I've shelved a lot of them at the library, but have no idea what they're about. Heh. Good luck on finals! I'm sure you'll do well!!
