Movie Review: A Scanner Darkly

I want to see this movie sooo much! I really love Philip K. Dick stories and this looks like the best adaptation so far. Too bad for limited release. Glad to hear it doesn't suck though!

Will it get an expanded release? I didn't realize it was limited. Hmm, that would be why I had to see it in a theater without stadium seating. Ow, my neck.

So far I've heard vague things but a couple websites say that July 28th was the date set for wide release, so there's still a chance it'll play nearby.

I saw the first quarter of the movie online (some gaming site had it up) and regretted it immediately afterwards. Not because it turned me off, but because I really, really want to see this movie now. And personally, I'm a fan of Robert Downey Jr., but that's just me.

I live Robert Downey, Jr. as an actor too. He did the best job of anyone in this movie. I hope it gets a wider release and everyone can see it.

Well, I always consider "Bill and Ted" to be where Keanu was acting most like his younger self. This also goes for any movie he had to surf in.

I haven't seen "Waking Life" for modern rotoscoping. I still have nightmares about Bakshi's "Lord of the Rings". But now that I saw "Scanner" I might have to look into it.

Actually. I watched that movie while not knowing what it was. It blew my mind. My friends who watched it with me told me it was a cartoon =_= ... SIGH. IT was a good movie though... xD

Aha, well. That's a cartoon I wouldn't show to youngins. At least you still thought it was good.
