Gaaaah
The first part almost seemed familiar, but I'll just write that off to something that happened in canon so more than one fic writer used it.

ANYWAYS,
I do love Laura to death. Her near inability to know exactly what she wants in life really contrasts her from Daken, and both kids must be a handful in Logan's family matters XD

Now! Time for Laura to look for herself :D

Lordy, either I share a mental nexus with another writer or it's cuz it's the part I cut from that unfinished fic I'm working on. I tend to canibalize my own leftovers.

I'm actually a recent convert of X-23. I heart her.

Thanks for the feedback!

OH.
WAIT RIGHT
It was an unfinished fic, I think, of yours, that I read XD

Also, I fell in love with X-23 since Evolution. I'm an Evolution-grown kid, so I was pretty surprised when I learned that was her original appearance.

I doubt the writers would ever make an intervention for Logan part of canon, though I guess I can dream. Though I do believe that Spiderman attempted something of a similar vein recently ...

I had never seen Evolution until I started watching the reruns last year. I have to say that I'm looking forward to the snikt family reunion this September. SNIKTS YAY

This was great! Thanks for sharing :)

I like Laura mostly for the effect she has on Logan. I really think she makes Logan reflect on himself in a way he's never done before. Jubilee and Kitty always were the ones to initiate conversations between them and Logan, but now with X-23 he has to be the one that does the talking. I like the awkwardness that follows :)

Thank you!

I just find it interesting that Logan's managed to be a mentor for other girls, but when it comes to Laura he seems kind of clumsy, to say the least. I think it's a truly weird situation--she's not really his kid but he's always saying he's responsible for her all the same.

Slightly awkward: I'm new to this fandom, and reading through the comm after plowign through the kinkmeme. I'm guessing that you wrote two stories on the kinkmeme-- I hope you are actually that author, but reading this story, I'm assuming you have to be: the incest story "Nothing Personal" and "Every Day is Father's Day". Ugh, these two. The incest story was really, gut-punch powerful, and the "daddy's little princess' story was silly, but still had a core of sadness and emotional realism that made it stick ( ... )

Wow, I'm truly flattered by your feedback (and I love the hilariously awesome graphic--that song brings back memories! and they're so cute together) And it's fun when you write something and people articulate better what you were trying to do rather than what you could say about it yourself. Like, when I write stuff I'm just like, I hope people find this compelling or whatever, or I hope they keep reading, but I never really think about the overarching themes or anything, so it's rewarding and enriching when someone else does. (Maybe I shouldn't admit that; maybe I should be like, "Oh yeah, I totally knew what I was doing.") As for the kink stuff ... eh, I wouldn't want to take the fun out of anonymous kink writing or accidentally take the credit for something someone else wrote :)

Aw, thank you (I get kind of um, pretentious at times). I apologize for trying to break anonymity with the km-- I really need to brush up on anon etiquette, hope I didn't make you uncomfortable, and won't do that in the future. :/

That's okay! No need to apologize. And pretentious is good. This fandom needs more, IMO.

Hello there. I haven't really been following X-23 but I really felt for her in the conclusion of Second Coming and was a bit miffed with Logan myself. I really would love to think of this as happening off panel. You write really well and I especially liked how you wrote Logan's internal musings. Also X-23 comes off as someone who is lost and alien to normal human interaction due to her dark upbringing and there is a longing there that made me sympathize with her. This is the first Gen story I have read in a while. It was a very satisfying return to it. Thanks for sharing. :-D

Thanks for the review! I appreciate it. I enjoyed this little foray into gen myself and hope to write more X-23. Thanks!
