Oh, Mylan. What an adventure. I felt exhausted just from reading this post. I hope somewhere in all of this you find time to relax!

Good luck!

Ooh--your yard and home are beautiful! Yay!

*bounces* I'm so excited. We're thinking of an invisible fence for Indy, so we won't have to worry about him running off. It also helps keep Escape Artist Maddy in the house, rather than sneaking out while I'm tethering the dog. :D

WOW.

You've been through a LOT.

Everything looks great, though! And Maddy's getting SO big!

I've managed to keep pretty upbeat. As long as we had our house, I was okay. I'd backed up pic and music files on my portable hard drive before we left, and all recent documents I'd written are on jump drive or gdocs, so I knew I wasn't going to lose anything.

She's in between 2T and 3T size now, and definitely is exerting her force of will. :)

Wow! You've had one hell of a couple of weeks. Did those jackasses at the moving company make you pay for the storage? I really hope they didn't.

They didn't make us pay. It's not listed on the invoice, which I only got two days ago at my request. I guess because the hospital is paying for the move, they didn't feel the need for cluing me in on anything. And according to the guys that unpacked us, we should have been left a copy along with the inventory sheets back in NY.

Not using the parent company ever again, that's for sure!

So far, it's great. Better for a parent and gamer geek, yanno? Nothing out there for teens but alcohol and pot and trouble, but that's the kinda thing that they need me for, I guess. But there's lots of parks and events going on all the time, so it's great for families with kids. And there's a HUGE GINORMOUS LIBRARY downtown that I have to go to at some point. :D

Wow, that moving company sounds like a bunch of morons.

I remember when I moved. Oh, it was sweet in comparison to that.
A U-Haul, 10-15 boxes and the furniture of my room.

definitely a bunch of morons, that's for sure.

Our first move, from our apartment to the house, was four trips back and forth with our own cars, my BIL's Escalade and my FIL's pickup truck. Of course, the drive between houses was an hour and a half, not 19 hours. :D

SO much counter space! And tons of storage for stuff, too. That's one thing this house has plenty of, that's for sure. :)
