Alicia's softball coach is driving me crazy. Sometimes I don't even get 24 hours notice about practices, and he scheduled a tournament for Mother's Day weekend. That's bad enough, but it's also my last weekend before I leave for New Orleans, and I'm rushing to get everything done in time. I have great kids. I really do. I know how lucky I am that my issues and occasional fights with them are hardly that serious in the grand scheme of things. But it doesn't make it any more fun to deal with, that's for sure.

Not a very productive day yesterday. I had a lot of stuff to do, and a lot of running around, so writing and responsibilities took a back seat. Alicia turns 14 in less than two weeks. It boggles me to think about. But after our shopping trip on Sunday, there's been a lot of discussion between us about changing body shapes and dressing for them. She's 5'6", still growing, and hour glass shaped. Friday! Woo hoo! Well, just another day around here, but the kids are happy anyway. Busy weekend ahead. Alicia takes the SAT tomorrow, then Sunday we're *supposed* to have a girls day with her BFF at the mall.
