This time tomorrow, I'll be in Raleigh, NC, to visit with my sister. I'll also get to meet my niece for the first time. She turns 1 at the end of July, so I'm getting a baby fix for the next week. She's absolutely adorable. I already told my sister that we don't have to do anything special. My goals for the next week are just to spend as much time with her and the baby as I can.
Craig and I had a quiet weekend. We did a short movie crawl yesterday and saw Spy (loved it) and San Andreas (cheesy fun, and I do loves me some Dwayne Johnson). I watched another movie on Saturday here at home that I loved, though. It's called In Your Eyes, and I had added it to my Netflix queue because Joss wrote the script. It's about a young man and a young woman who have been connected from their childhood, when they began to start seeing what the other was seeing even though they live in very different parts of the country. Without spoiling it, it was just a wonderful love story, surprisingly heartfelt and heartbreaking with very real characters. I highly recommend it.
I've been running around like crazy today, though, getting everything caught up before I leave. My mouth is still quite tender and sore from getting the tooth pulled last week, so my dentist told me to come in so he could look at it. It seems to be healing well, but he admitted it did look a little red, so he gave me a prescription for an antibiotic if it still really bothers me on Wednesday. When I went to go pick it up this evening, however, the drug store's computers were all done. I had to go to the other one on the other side of town to get it filled over there if I wanted it tonight. My ten minute trip to the store took me an hour. I have one more load of laundry to finish before I can start packing, but Craig has food for the week, the cat's thyroid medicine has been refilled so Craig doesn't have to worry about it, and I got Alicia's physical therapy all sorted out again (apparently, we'd been referred to someone out of our network and it got rejected by the insurance, prompting me to start a round of calls to ensure Alicia could get into *some* kind of physical therapy when she gets back in two weeks).
