The doctor who delivered my now 16 year old (and how did THAT happen??), got her MD in her 40's. She was inspired to do so after one of her children developed a serious illness requiring long periods of hospitalization, and she was frustrated with the system, so she decided if you can't beat 'em, join 'em - and try to change it from the inside out. She was a great doctor. :-)

That's very encouraging. :) I've been talking to Craig more about it, too. I just need to decide what exactly I want to do, if I really want to go back to school for that, or if I want to make a more concerted effort on the creative front than I have been doing. Or pick something else entirely. Too many choices.

Those tryouts are going on forever! How large a field is the coach trying to pare down?

It's not that large, that's what's so crazy about it. They even have tryouts tomorrow for a couple hours.
