Supposedly, we're getting rain the next two days. Temperatures were 100+ over the weekend and today/tomorrow is only supposed to be in low 70s. That's a relief, though not nearly enough for our severe drought conditions, but it's back up to 100+ this coming weekend again anyway. *sigh

I don't have a dehydrator but you've just given me a reason to get one. We're big jerky fans and I usually make it in the oven. Not very practical in our scorching summers. We're still in the 100° afternoons here, too, but it's getting down into the low 70's overnight which is a real relief.

That's great that the younger women did so well. What a confidence boost.

I love it already, and if you already make jerky, I recommend it. Mine has five different trays that can be used at the same time, and the three pounds of meat I used over the weekend only used three of them. You'll make a lot more with less heat with a dehydrator.
