Last week of summer break for the kids! Alicia went through registration yesterday and tomorrow is Alex's turn. It makes this week a little crazed as we cram in last minute outings. That made me smile - we're only on our first week of school holidays in the UK - and some schools haven't even broken up yet.

Hope the crazy week goes well!

This was our problem when we were in the UK summer of '12, lol. All the kids' cousins were still in school and broke up the week after we came back. :)

Wow. I can't believe their summer break is almost over already. This summer has really flown by.

I always liked that they went on the European model and only had six weeks of summer break, but when the kids are busy, it's annoying we don't get more, lol.

I head back to work on the 11th, so still have a bit of time.

Oh wow, school doesn't start until after Labor Day here. They got out June 25, so it's only been a month. Go Karts! We don't have that here.

Our school system is on a European model with six weeks of summer break, and two weeks each of fall and spring break. I liked it when we first moved here, but now that there's so much the kids want to do in their summer, it gets a little frustrating when we run out of time, lol.
