Islands of Adventure and Harry Potter

Oct 04, 2013 08:40

I am home today. Craig, the kids, and spikesgurl are not. They all went to Wet & Wild and will be home this afternoon to wash up so we can go to Medieval Times tonight. We spent yesterday at Islands of Adventure, and tomorrow is Epcot, so I am resting. And okay, I don't do water parks, lol.

But Islands of Adventure was fantastic...

Butterbeer is so good, isn't it? I have a craving for that now...lol! Again, you are so lucky that you chose a good time to go. It was packed the last time I was there, the line for the castle ride alone was about 90 minutes long. Luckily my friend had a handicap pass and we got right to the front, it was also raining at the time. I must have taken a million pictures of that place, I've been about five times now. The wand demonstration is cool, but because the lines are always so long, I've only seen it once so far. I bought me a Hermione wand that is proudly being displayed on my shelf=)

You're visiting in my backyard. I'm an annual passholder at Universal so I tend to wait until the off season to go. In fact, I went last week and there were no lines for anything. EPCOT is my absolute favorite Disney park, and as a cast member, I go a lot. Enjoy the Food and Wine Festival!!!

I love Islands of Adventure. Whenever we travel to Disney World we spend a day there. Saw the Harry Potter stuff for the first time last year. I was just in awe. Once inside you can't see any of the rest of the park so it really seems like its own little world. Glad you all enjoyed it. The water rides, Bluto's Bilge Rat Barges and Dudley Do Right, are family favorites.

Can't wait to get there in person! Sounds like a fantastic experience.

How great is it that Craig can take the kids to the waterpark while you rest up? My husband is the one in our family who doesn't like waterparks. I'm not fond of them either, but the things you do for your kids...
