Derry

Needless to say, this portion of our trip was tense, emotionally intense, confusing, and depressing. Derry when we were there was almost entirely demilitarized. There were no visible guns or tanks, but the towers still had military personnel in them. But there was this air of tension everywhere we went and the people we talked to avoided stating

My brother stayed in Derry for a good portion of his semester abroad (part of his Conflict Studies certificate for college.

He also met Gerry Adams and didn't bother to tell anyone (in the fam').
