Latest "Only In America" Moment

Apr 11, 2006 17:38

So today, driving back from my lunch appointment, I spotted this ridiculous fat HUMMER in front of me at the light [not that anyone could miss them anyway...].

The licence plate read

BOSSINU

and the frame

MY OTHER CAR IS...
A GAS GUZZLER.

...yeah.

usa, california, people, mundane, daily stuff, culture

Exactly my reaction. I can't stand people like that. It was just so perfect, the licence plate along with its frame and that umm... car. Such an archtype of ridiculous. The good old word POTENZVERSTAERKER comes to mind. ;)

Soccer Mum Auto ... ;op

I used to work at a boarding kennel, the lady who had a yellow hummer came in with an english bulldog that looked rather like the hummer but in a different color. I liked the dog a whole lot better than the vehicle, the lady had tried to spoil her but she was a tough, friendly girl, anyway, if rather odd looking...

I don't understand why they create these sinful cars.

I think it's completely ridiculous and the people who drive them are usually just as idiotic. No concern for anything or anyone else is what driving this kind of "car" says to me. It's simply unneccesary - and talk about gas guzzling... Show-offs are truly pathetic. *Chuckle*

Yeah and that's what I thought was so ridiculous. They think they're sooooooooo cool or something.
