Yes, it's cold. I started thinking about the old wind chill charts after prettydark posted about the brutal temperature today. See, there used to be this chart up on the local weather channel during the winter which explained the different levels of wind chill and how dangerous they were. It was cold enough this morning that my almost new car (it's only, what, 3 years old?) didn't start this morning. I was lucky that my boss wasn't too far away that he could come and pick me up. That walk down to the corner was fricken COLD. I'm glad I chose to wear a turtle neck sweater today, but my legs between my ankles and the hem of my coat were about to fall off.

I HATE COLD.

Yeah, I was getting around by bus and foot today. It was unpleasant, to say the least.

A few years ago when we had that cold snap of like 3 weeks at -50 and below, I was walking to work at the Brick. From the bus stop across from Polo Park. That's like, a mile or two, and it was COLD.

Ugh. I'm pretty resilient to most weather conditions, but I'm not sure that I could have walked that much during those weeks. Very very nasty.
