YES to everything in this post. It's exactly how I feel.

I wish the episode had been longer, it just drew you in, and there is so much left to be answered.

I so very much wish this had been a two-parter.

I'm so sad we're already more than half-way through the season *cries*

THIS! I had something in my eye when Arthur broke down too. After a tragic start to the season, I'm glad it's getting better again. This is the episode I've been waiting for since they sewed the seed, so to speak, in S1.

Yeah it seems they've really found they're way it seems. Just rewatched the ep, it's soooo good.
I only wish we had like 18 episodes to really explore all the important themes.

I need to watch it again! I'm glad they left the story open in the end, it means we get more emotional!Arthur scenes!

Yes! It's like there is still so much to mine in that storyline.
And for the big Merlin-has-magic reveal I want there to me manly glittering tears as well. All violence and tears, yep.

I have to admit my eyes were kind of itchy at the end..and it had nothing to do with me getting all teary..>.>..really..it didn't XP.
and is it wrong that I still ship Morgana/Morgause? I mean it's Merlin, everyone just goes with everyone :D

Oh I definitely sensed the Morgana/Morgause shippiness. Don't let any blood relation stand in your way, bb....I'm from the SPN fandom ;)

I pretty much felt exactly the same way after watching this episode. *__* It was just one of those finally moments--it really felt like this is what we've been waiting for all season~ ;__; I was thinking too, that honesty this would have made a pretty fabulous episode one of season two. :P Because like you said, it's kind of a perfect follow up to the end of last season, with the whole question of a life for a life and all of that. But, whatever, I'm not complaining. ^_~ I just hope...things continue like this? It was so nice to see an actual meaningful conversation between Merlin and Arthur too. *_* I went back and watched it again and realized that it really wasn't even that long of a scene, but MAN do I feel like we'd been waiting so long for it! Made it seem much longer than it really was. ^_~

I completely agree with you too about Uther. I don't believe for a second that he willingly traded Arthur's life for Igraine's, and I'm SURE all of that will come up again~ I can't wait. *_*

Yes, the Arthur/Merlin bonding scene was soooo good. After all the conversations they had in season one, I had expected season two to be chock full of them, but we've had to wait until the eighth episode for that.

I really hope the next episodes (only 5 left!!!!) continue in this vein.
I mean this episode had it all, it showed you can have humour, drama and several strings of plot running through it.
