The Look o' Love

So what's all this about a planned mass exodus from LJ to DreamwidthAs I understand it a lot of people are highly anticipating it. It uses the LJ code and apparently you will be able to take all your posts and comments with you when you switch ( Read more... )

I haven't heard of this dreamwidth until now. I will be reluctant to change. Don't want to lose my old LJ posts.

I think with Dreamwidth you get to keep all your old LJ posts and transfer them.

I've been on lj since 2002, and I've seen a lot of 'new and improved' journal sites lure users away, but they all seem to come back. (Or they keep their lj active.) So, I'm a bit skeptical about a mass exodus truly happening. (Partly because you have to either be invited by an existing member or buy an account.)

And YAY, boys! I can't get over how adorable J2 is...

Wasn't LJ by code invite only in the beginning?

But yeah I prefer not to switch from LJ. If it's not broken why fix it, right?
I guess some people are really unhappy and feel LJ is not "open' enough and might be subject to furthers restrictions in future.
I'm not too worried at this point.

J2 are like a married couple on a permanent honeymoon.

I had to get a code when I first joined, yeah.

I agree with you, there's no real reason to leave LJ right now. Unless my f-list and fandoms switch over, I'll be staying put. I know that there have been several protests against the increased restrictions, and I agree that censorship pretty much bites, but eventually, any site you go to will have similar restrictions in place.

If J2 are honeymooners (AND THEY SO ARE!), what are Bradley and Colin?

Bradley and Colin are still in the throes of first love. There may have been some touching, but they're taking it slow, still unsure, but so very turned on by each other.

And yeah of course restrictions suck, but right now I'm not really hampered in any way by LJ's rules. When the day comes that I can't write/read about slashy naked boys anymore then I'll leave.

I might bitch and moan about LJ once in a while (especially when they make some of their silly so called improvement nobody actually wants) but I'd still love it here and would be very reluctant to leave. So unless all my friends vanish, I am staying put ;)

Intense look from Colin there XD

Yeah I'm quite happy with LJ too, I think a lot of people are predicting doom and gloom for the future, but right now I don't see it.

Colin is master of the intense stare. I love how Bradley didn't remark on one thing about Colin's looks/acting during the commentaries, but mentioned his "acting with his eyes."

Colin is so good at giving Bradley loving looks...

OH, THE LOVE.

I didn't know about Dreamwidth, either, but I'm with you on the wait-and-see stance.

To quote Katie: "SO MUCH LOVE"

About Dreamwidth, I'll wait and see if the fandoms move, somehow I still doubt they will.
