I just got through watching the episode and I hardly know what to say..... I agree with most of what you say, really an intense episode! Dean/Castiel shipper must have squeed the whole time :-) And yes Alistair was damn hot! I didn't really care much for Anna in this episode....
And what was up with Anna turning all Buffy-esque? I knew I knew it from somewhere! Thanks for the info ;-)
Also yeah that with Ruby and Sam is getting annoying! Him drinking her blood like that is too much.... Now I know! That reminded me so much of when Claudia fed of Lestat with the same eagerness! HAH! :-D

I can't help myself...it's like we know it will always be Sam/Dean at the end, but I don't mind Dean taking a detour with Castiel.
I guess it made more sense and made for more suspense to have Uriel being the betrayer, but I so hoped it would have been Anna so we could have gotten rid of her. At least she had no interaction with Dean.
And yes Sam drinking Ruby's blood was totally like Claudia....I really dislike this plot point.
And Sam/Ruby. WTF? He can't be addicted to Ruby's blood...she's using a human body, it's human blood, right? I also thought about this. Maybe the "black smoke" does something to the blood. But actually it really doesn't make sense.
Dean/Castiel are so canon it hurts. He was getting too close to his charge. \o/ And he feels EMOTIONS now and has to make decisions for his own. I now need a deleted scene where Castiel is standing before the Burger King menu and staring at it wide-eyed because he can have it his way now.

But now I think Ruby is going to betray the boys. That evil smile while Sam was drinking...

And after the smilie I also think she works against them. That was obvious.
