If you don't mind sharing, what's the legal aid clinic, and would they possibly have any need for a volunteer who isn't admitted in Colorado? I'd really love to start doing something to get some experience in the state and making connections, but I'm not sure where to go.
I go up to Boulder County Legal Services. If you're interested, the person to call first is Sue Parenteau, the office administrator. The office phone number is 303.449.7575. There's probably something you can do to help. I know they sometimes use paralegals instead of admitted attorneys for intake interviews, just for example, or there might be some research on which you could help Liz, the supervising attorney there.
If Boulder's too much of a hike for you and you want to look for opportunities in the downtown Denver area, try calling Metro Volunteer Lawyers. I know very little about how that office works, but you can give them a call.
