Amber's audiogram went quite well; she was very cooperative.  Her hearing is a bit worse, but not so much as we had feared.  The CT scan revealed normal pathology in the right ear (her bad ear,) and an enlarged vestibular aquiduct in her left ear.  BLANK.  Dr. Reed wants to do genetic testing for Pendred's syndrome.  (which is a cause of congenital ( Read more... )

We've completed about half of the new sidewalk.  I need to get about 20 more stones to finish it out.  The front yard is looking fairly good right now.

I've been sprucing up for summer.

The list:
1.  New, larger ceiling fan for the bedroom, smaller ceiling fan that was in there is going to be put into the front bedroom/office.

Papaw died on 4/29 and we had a graveside service at Patton Hill on 5/4; it was right outside of Jasper, AL.  I'm sure that he is in a better place.

We situated Papaw (R) in short term nursing a few weeks back. He didn't want to be there and it was an issue that I had to deal with. The next week, Amber had an audiogram that was very bad. Dr. Reed thinks that her hearing issues may be progressive  and ordered a CT scan. We set another appointment for 5/30 to get another audiogram and discuss ( Read more... )
