They induced the baby on Tuesday. We started at 5:30am and I labored completely drug free until 3:30pm (ouch!) when it was obvious that the baby was not descending past the bony pelvis. They took me off the pit, gave me a shot of stadol to dull the contractions, started a spinal and did a quick C-section. Ivy Rose came at 4:21pm on Tuesday,

My advice is to keep moving. It gets better with each day, though the first 3 weeks are gonna feel like hell. You're going to have an "apron" of skin on your belly for some time, too. I haven't found much that I could do about mine except hide it.
Were you prescribed any pain meds? I was given Motrin 600 and percocet. I took the Motrin and not the percocet b/c real pain meds knock me out and make me sick.
I'm glad to hear you and Ivy are doing well, all things considered, and that you are taking the sudden turn of events in your birth plan in stride.
