Though I'm confused. Did they die or not? It sounds like they did but I'm not sure.

Although imaging them as wolves is awesome. Shizuru as a wolf is more awesome though because it's so freakin' rare.

Yes Shizuru Wolfie in fanfic is rare. So sad cuz she's just as cute as Natsuki Wolfie.

yeah, but wolf's rain is anime, whilst hc is novels. the descriptions you used should bare resemblance to hc to some degree.

Mm, Wolf's Rain was an interesting anime to say the least. I loved the plot, didn't care much for the characters except a few though. My favorites were: Cher, Blue, Hubb, Darcia, and Tsume. Kiba, Hige, and Toboe were ok though.
