Microsoft Word’s verdict:

Spelling mistakes … Do Australians use the American spelling system? If so, then ignore the words not in caps lock: ‘HORS D’OEUVRES’, ‘ageing’, ‘labour’, ‘realised’, ‘vigour’, ‘empathised’, ‘INDIGNITIES(? - you spelt ‘idignities’)

Semicolon/ dash/ comma use:
“Yet beyond all that COMMA”,
“his death was painful SEMICOLON”,
“well DASH heeled”,
“at eighty-two COMMA he died”
“ARTWORK” and “LAMPSHADES” both single words,
“all stacked against each other AND all turned”,
“fresh-faced COMMA”
“They’re all nudes COMMA/OTHER”
“their over DASH white teeth”
“1942 COMMA or COLON”
“It’s me COMMA (likewise, grammar needed for her next comments)”
“As we battled … crowd at bar” TOO LONG (possibly replace the semicolon with a full stop?) “POCKMARKED” a single word,
“That’s me COMMA”
