I originally read the engaged part and the rest flew over my head, sorry about your grandmother, but wait, are you really engaged?

Anyway, I'm sure God has a reason for all that stuff going on, for better or for worse. Y'know.

So, yeah. I'm really engaged. We're getting married on November 4th in Korea.

Probably not going to be able to do any sort of ceremony or reception back here 'cuz money's pretty tight these days. :p

I hear ya on both issues. I was pestered by people in Japan last year about being set up with someone and I wasn't having it. This year too, to some degree, I was being pressured into that as well, which I kindly kicked it aside.

Also, I'm sorry to hear that your grandma passed away. Both grandmas are in bad health, so most likely by next visit to Japan, one or both of them may be gone. But I guess its a facet of life that happens and have to deal with someday.
