All my life I had wanted to go to America. All my life I had listed it in the top 10 - to visit, to see, to touch, to feel. It didn’t even matter to me which part of America, as long as it was on the coast. When I was growing up, America was something like Mars - as unavailable and undesirable to live in, but still as attractive travel-wise.

Um, yeah, Michael Moore is NOT an expert on America - I wouldn't shape my opinion of a country based on 1 movie anyway. There's always more to the story.

The things he showed on Britain were pretty accurate, so I would presume he would not bend the truth too much :) America might be a nice country, but it gets censored so much, you would struggle to find any source of information, so I believe he does what many people are afraid to.
I trust the guy - especially on the issue of social welfare system.

The truth is, before I went there, I was really apprehensive that I like it there enough to want to move there. I didn't :) I thought it was nice, but NZ is just nicer.

So if I didn't like SF, which is apparently one of the best cities of the US, I doubt I will like Midwest at all :)
