This book made me think of Leckie...

Nov 16, 2010 11:40

One day, I am going to write an angsty, epic AU fic, using the lyrics to I DO NOT LOVE YOU ANYMORE by FLOWERS FROM THE MAN WHO SHOT YOUR COUSIN.

lyrics )

writing: a duty to bear witness, writing: my way out

Hi! Your country's online visa application thing is broke and that makes me sad as I was ready to submit today.

It does mean I get to hang onto nearly 500 quid for a few more days, though. [sigh]

Well, to every cloud. Ill winds. All that.

Clearly, I'm going to have to get myself up to Glasgow at some point, since we so negligently missed each other in Birmingham. You know, I've never been to Scotland?

trying to stop procrastinating and starting to write the research project I have to get ready in.. a week?!?! how is it only a week aways the deadline?!?!?

but I don't see it happen in the foreseable future, I need to bring toys and blankets to the shiny new baby of my best friend..

(and I hate marking written essays, I'd rather do oral questioning [english fail? doest this even exist ioutside italy?], but tea and lj definitely help :p)

We call it speaking and listening, but, yeah, it exists! Marking books is my least favourite thing. I used to teach Creative Writing, and I didn't mind that marking so much, but now I just teach English .__.

I would much rather be writing fic.

Hi, I just had dye put in my eyes. It was weird. But in a few days I will be getting contacts which will be exciting. And I finally got the Handmaid?Handmaidens tale which I am v. looking forward to.

ALSO WRITE EPIC AUS I encourage this. But also space drama.

Ha! I'm happy to infect you with epic-AU-itis. Right now I'm starting to work on this structured, mannered little thing in an attempt to recuperate. :) Would you recommend that book? Sounds like yes.

I look forward to it. My problem with epic is that I always loose steam - I need cheerleaders or something.

I loved the first half. The second half lost me a little.

Oh, cheerleaders are necessary. And online writing parties. I shamelessly requested cheerleading throughout writing the AU. I'm happy to cheerlead for you and I encourage it. :)

You might regret offering that. I nearly killed myself writing my wbb and it's only barely 20000 words :b
