Oh man, typically I am not the sort of person who reads underaged mature fiction, but I so love the idea of these two having their first time experimenting with one another. And as always, you wrote it so beautifully, with a real grasp of their emotions as young teenagers. I love all the descriptions and details and awkward puberty moments in this, it's wonderful.

Thanks for giving this a try! I also liked the idea of them being each other's first, it seems only natural. Not only that, it's a headcanon many others agree with despite France and Spain not actually being good friends at all according to canon/history. I've never read this type of fic before (underaged but adult situation) but hey, why not, right? :D And I'm so glad I did - France and Spain are such a sweet pair, and I love that you went all the way back through history (with a cameo from Rome!) Thanks, I'm so glad that people are willing to give my fics a try, even out of morbid curiosity. Like I said, it was/is apparently "okay" in real life, so I thought certainly France and Spain must have tried experimenting as kids, being the nations of romance and passion respectively.

Haha, well, this is my headcanon and doesn't quite match up to the real canon, I think they knew each other from the Roman Empire in the canon. But also their relationship isn't as good as I describe it in my fics, not really. Just wishful thinking on my part.

Why do you say that France and Spain's relationship isn't as good as it is here? I think they get along rather well since they both have such good-natured personalities; unless you're referring to their historical relationship? (I'm afraid I'm not too familiar with French-Spanish relations either!)

Yeah, I think that superficially they have a good relationship, based on their personalities, which I interpreted here. I am probably not as familiar with the history as I should be, but I know after the age of conquest, they were rivals more often than allies. It's translated in the canon kind of strangely, I think, which is probably why France/Spain isn't very popular in western fandom. It should work, but a little research shows that it actually... doesn't... It makes me kind of sad.

The two get along rather well, having grown up and fought in wars together, though Spain remains oblivious to France's more perverted tendencies and cannot see why Romano hates him.
