It's one of those couples I like seeing in canon, but am not interested in seeing in fanfics. (of course I haven't read many FB fanfics in any case)

I love your list of top five lairs, and I love your write-up of #5. It reminds me of my crack theory that the Sakurazukamori traditionally served the Shogun while the Sumeragi served the Emperor.

I tossed it in as an aside in "Static Equations," but other than that, I haven't actually done anything with it as of yet. It would kind of fit with the idea of the Sakurazukamori doing rather pragmatic, political assassinations and the Sumeragi seeming to put a greater weight on ceremony (plus, the name itself signifies a connection to the emperor). I first got the idea when reading up on some historical background for a WWII-era fic, of all things.
