This is such a deliciously hot, poignant fic that somehow manages to pair those two--often quite different!--tones together beautifully. Wonderful work. :)

Oh man, fever fic.I can almost feel the bone achey, painful skin of Dean's fever, the foggy head, it's beautiful. "I'm getting old," and "Me too," there's something about that that just hits me in the pit of my stomach, in the best way.

And ohhh, the touching. I love how Dean was weak as a kitten, and Sam took care of him so gently, just rubbing and touching, and holy crap, the way he just stroked Dean's asshole gave me one of those pit of the stomach twists, hnnngh.

This is so sweet and achey and hot and lovely.

Lovely. I loved the contrast between how good the sex felt and how achy the fever left him. I also liked the constant nagging worry that he's aging, but in the end he comes to accept that fact as long as Sam's with him. It was also a great idea to point out that when it comes to worn-out spirits, Sam's as old as Dean is.

Very nice job.
