Driven - Art Masterpost
This is my second entry as an artist for the 2015 reversebang. A wonderful, wonderful author chose it and wrote a great story inspired by it. Thank you so much, mandylynn4 for being a great collaborator, for communicating with me, providing me rough drafts and being overall awesome. More than this, thank you for writing a fantastic story that's so close to my likings -a completed story, that is. It's because of you I'll still participate in the reversebang next year, despite what happened with my other writer. (((hugs)))
Okay, I had so much fun with this art. It's a collage, really. I thought it would be fun to give a writer total freedom to create a story from the false cover of a magazine. I picked a People cover and work on it, pasting and cutting, and adding and removing stuff. Then, I told my author that she could use everything in it, or just a part of it. The article about Misha and Felicia were just for fun ;-)
I really like the result. For the ending, I wanted to go in the same direction, with another false People magazine cover, with just a little side note as to where Jensen and Jared are at. Again, goofing off with Misha and Mark Sheppard was for fun. And at least I cracked myself up.
I added a couple of divisers, using a film frame recalling Jared's work and he and Jensen's trouble with celebrity.
I did the same thing for the chapter titles, using different colors and a background of gossip magazines.
As usual, I used free pictures I found on the internet, pixlr, pain.net and be_funky. That's all folks.
