Æsculpian Order

The Æsculpian Order is the proto-Progenitor Convention. Progenitors, for those unfamiliar with Mage, deal with improving the human body. Whether through drugs or genetic manipulation or whatever.

Existing Methodologies:
FACADE Engineers (Forced Adaption and Clone Alteration Developmental Eugenicists): They do cloning and such, largely.
Genegineers ( Read more... )

How about:

Haematologists for genengineers (Given that they're prolly decended from the Houses of Fire and Olympus from M:tSC),

and

Chirurgeons for FACADE engineers (in honor of the piture on p68 of Guide to the Technocracy).

I like that. I sort of told prettyarbitrary that I'd try to fit in the word "Anatomy," 'cause she thinks it's nicely period, but I like these ones a lot. Anatomy wouldn't really fit.

Um, as there's 6 Hippocratic Houses in M:tSC, why not make a 4th guild dedicated to exercise and calisthetics, and call them Anatomists.

Decended from the Phylaxoi, they contrast with the Chirurgeons by exploring limits of natural movement and form, rather than augmenting/improving on it.

They would kinda be like a scientific branch of the Akashics, dedicated to the care and protection of their own, perfectly toned, form.

You're my hero. That works perfectly with my theory that the Sons of Ether aren't just Electrodyne Engineers, but are made of Utopians from all the Conventions. The Anatomists clearly become the Adventurers faction of the Etherites.

No probs.

I like seeing your write-ups, as I'm trying to write a Pulp WWII Technocrat game, and it gives me inspiration.

Another reason for these guys setill being around is that the Chirgeon's creations are still mostly vulgar (vain?) at this point, so the Hipocrat's need some protection. Once, the Chirgeon's creations perfectly resemble humans, they begin to be phased in, which pushes the Anatomists away, as they're less efficient/effective.
