Oh man. Oh, man! This was so good! First, I totally believed the flying! The way you wrote it, it so totally made sense. And then *sob!* John was dead, but that had that moment that was sweet but not too sweet. gah.

Well, obviously, because that's what it actually feels like to fly! No, just kidding... don't I wish, though.

The thought of what it would feel like to fly, and the whole "feet gripping the ground" was the inspiration for this story.

I'm glad you liked it! And I'm sorry I have such a penchant for sad, depressing, bittersweet endings =)

Thanks! I apparently have a penchant for bittersweet endings. That probably says something deep and significant about my personality, but I'm not in the mood for such introspection at the moment. Dinner is almost ready! *yay*

Thanks! I tried to fit it in with what we know... I probably missed a few details or skewed the timeline a bit, but you can't bake a cake without breaking a few eggs =)

Speaking of which, (correct me if I'm wrong) Judgment day is in 2011, which is when John presumably starts to lead the rebellion in full. Did we ever hear a timeline for when John dies? Or an age? He's 16 in 1999/2007 (he loses 8 years ish)... I remember Derek saying that a terminator kills him.

Timeline is something I´m not getting well yet; I´m really lost.
Everytime I think 'Oh, now I get it', something comes up and I´m confuse all over again^^

A timeline where John dies is spoken about in T3. It seems like the Arnie model killed him in 2030-ish and his wife, Kate, reprogrammed the terminator and sent him back to protect John in 2006 in an ironic turn.

That could be what Derek means. The fact that Sarah dies of cancer is also mentioned in T3 and incorporated into the show.

Even though T3 is considered AU for the series, I use the same thing, minus Kate of course.

The timeline is wacky.

That was really good!

I got teary-eyed reading the last part. When I read about the flying I began to suspect the worst and then the scene where they say good-bye was sad and beautiful.

Please, write more.

Hehe, thanks! I certainly will. It might be awhile before I write more John/Derek, but I'm sure I'll come back to them eventually. You never know, I might just write another threesome fic ;)
