Oh God, Linc's nearly execution still breaks my heart.

And it's so typical recalling that old memory of Michael and what it meant.

I'm sure Lincoln will keep that promise forever.

I know! I can't even imagine what he must have been going through. That experience really changed him.

And it's so typical recalling that old memory of Michael and what it meant.
That was really the inspiration for this story. I have no idea what made me think of it, but the realization that Michael had been in love with him in the final moments of his life was the central idea from which this story grew.

I'm sure Lincoln will keep that promise forever.
I don't know if it would prove to him the existence of God, but I think he would appreciate the second chance he was given nonetheless and not waste it.

Thanks for reading and for the thoughtful comments =)

That must have been .. actually that must have been very traumatizing for both of them... It has been for sure for me...

I can't say a word about the existance of God, but he wouldn't let that second change going to waste. I mean, what they did for each other, it was clearly a prove of love, that is so much more than the usual love for family... And they both know it.

Sorry, when I talk about them I sometimes don't know where to stop, because they are totally fascinating me.

Perfectly understandable. That's what keeps me coming back to this pairing, because the dynamics of the Lincoln/Michael relationship ARE so fascinating.

^_^

I aim to please. If even a single person appreciates what I wrote, I feel that my job as an author is fulfilled.

That being said, though, I have to admit that what I write is what I think I would enjoy reading, so it's not entirely selfless >=)

Thanks for the comment!

Wow! this is so touching. Beautiful writing.
Even this is short but it say a lot.
Their emotional, their feeling and even their images were beautiful written.

Wonderful job. I enjoy it very much.

Thanks for writing.

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Their emotional, their feeling and even their images were beautiful written.
I did my best to make the images vivid and real, and to make his emotions seem fluid and believable. I'm relieved it came across as intended!

Thanks for reading

Oh my god this was so beautiful and painful at the same time. I love it that Lincoln failed to notice what was going on until it was almost oo late. I'm so glad the phone actually rang and they got their chance. I'd ask you to write another part but this story seems complete as it is somehow with it's hint of a happy ending.
Thank you ery much for posting.

I think it's almost way too true-to-life and true-to-canon that there are never really any happy endings, just more and more chances to get closer to them. In that way, I think this needs to stand alone, but I appreciate you saying you'd like to read more of it!
