Re: _The Twentieth Wife_, it was an okay enough book but a bit too sweet for my taste, too much of a romance, especially when I am used to this bit getting over fast and the good stuff happening. The sequel _Feast of Roses_ is much more fun. For here Mehrunnissa becomes Noor Jehan, the second woman to rule over Delhi. There are intrigues and battles, slow taking over of power as the Emperor gets deeper and deeper into his opium induced lassitude [at its peak, Jehangir's addiction was 15 pellets of opium into a wine of glass x 5 glasses a day], and there are rebellions galore. I still found Sundersen romanticising their relationship a bit too much [Noor Jehan struck me as too strong and senible a woman to actually moon over a wastrel] but at least the good stuff is there.

And I hope you feel better soon. :)
