I said it this morning and I say it again here: I love the Hicks perspective of that scene in the movie. All in a split second between observation and action, and so very very much what may have gone through his head. I love it to bits, hon ♥

One thing the Aliens movie tie-in novel stated that I really agree with is that Hicks is the kind who doesn't say anything unless there is something important to say. Still waters and all that.

One day I will write that long fic we plotted out.
