It's a Kevin! Hi Kevin. =) No, no library! I wanna buy my books, so I can chew on them at my leisure any time in the next seven years. Gimme heap big Engrish book store!
*visualizes a chibi Fishy wailing and ranting furiously* Heh, gomen, gomen.
More seriously, lacking AC is NOT cool (literally.) *waits for smack* Anyway, I'm glad you've had a chance to have *some* fun, even if it's just extra time to read? Or is it less than usual? Myarf.
Well avail us with your complaints again soon. We need to know you're not dying from food poisoning after all.
muwah...I'm too polite to complain about it. In fact, I haven't been speaking much at all, since everybody speaks Chinese and my Chinese, although spoken with *impeccable* pronunciation still makes me sound infantile. ex. "umm, i today ate much food?" instead of "I ate too much breakfast, lemme alone!"
Well, technically less free time to read, but more time overall. The people here care less if I go disappear for an afternoon to read instead of sit around looking dumbly at people. =P I would never get away with that at home. (I hope that isn't being misconstrued as impolite...)
There is one nice thing about not having AC in Taipei, you loose your appetite, at least I did. One meal a day plus sports drinks to keep hydrated kept me alive for two summers. I lost 15 kg my first summer there, and 5 kg the next. (Not that you need to lose weight
( ... )
No kidding! I walked around Taipei heat for 10 minutes and I felt like retching. And then they wanted me to eat and I had to resort to being rude to get them to leave me alone. Argh
( ... )
Sorry it's so hot! Even if it was just your complaints, I'm glad to hear from you :) And I'm jealous that you get to be in Taipei and I get to be in the dungeon.
Miss you too! I hope they're not working you too hard. I should be back around the 7th of June (in PGH that is) sooo, good luck till then! I'll try to be more upbeat in the next few posts. It'll be hard though, Chinese people can be so exasperating!
