Quite possibly my favourite line :D. I love how D1 was portrayed here (I've read quite a few of your other D1 fics, but it was the most striking here), particularly the banter at the beginning, but most of all I love your Niou. The way he runs his hands across the shop products, 'Who wakes up in the middle of the night and thinks, I know what I need - a miniature sewing kit? Really fucking convenient.'

And "This," Niou declares a moment later, once he's stopped laughing, "is intriguing." The 'declares' is somehow very much Niou.

I sort of tinker with my characterisation all the time, keep the bits I like and throw away bits which don't seem to work so well... so theoretically it should be getting better in general. Theoretically. ;)
