Okay, am I just being thicky mcthickperson? On LJ, in journal style, I'm trying to find the option to have comment pages displayed in custom journal style (to try and work around the godawful frustration of not being able to comment to ANYTHING ANYWHERE unless I'm directly replying to a comment via email notification), but it's...not there? At

Journal Style-->Customise theme-->Display-->Presentation-->Basic Options-->Disable custom comment pages-->no

For some reason they changed it to yes as default. Change it back and it should work. I hope.

...see, this is where I'm confused, because it's already set to 'no', and yet I am still unable to view community pages in custom style (personal journals seem to be a complete roulette of whether I get my style, the journal owner's style, or the bastardised screen-breaker masquerading as default style). It's making my head hurt, Cat! D:

Hmm, okay. Try going into your Account-->Display-->Comment Pages-->check view in my style. I have that checked and I'm doing good so far. Though sometimes I get the weird one.

...that is checked too? (that was actually where i went first, but then wondered if I was being dim). I guess i'm resigned to reading on my flist, but then clicking my way through to the comm seperately and then commenting from there? Or just being apathetic and lazy /o\

I've mostly resigned myself to being continuingly apathetic, as style=mine also seems to be subject to the whimsical roulette of what layout style happens next (refreshing seems to change it sometimes? So now I'm manually going from my flist to the comm page, entering the post, clicking comment and then hitting refresh until a comment option that includes actual commenting turns up *facedesks*)

...I think I'm now entering the territory where I've got horrified amusement at how random the display seems to be for me O_o
