I ATE'NT DEAD

Aug 16, 2011 19:54

So it's been pointed out to me that I've been even more failmonsters than usual with regards to having a presence on the intertubes. Um, oops? Beyond a mild attack of wonky neurochemistry, I've got no excuse *hands up*

I think it's a sign of just how much WoW has eaten my brain that I'm seriously considering entering this (it's the Blizzard ( Read more... )

dorkiness ensues, fic, work, ways in which i fail, fannish, /o\

Hey, it's good to see you around!

I reckon you should totally enter the Blizzard competition. I haven't read much of what you've written, but from what I have read, you write wonderfully (and I definitely owe you a comment on 'Morning has broken' for one thing. I've subscribed to your page on AO3, hope you don't mind :) ) and you've obviously got a whole lot of love for Indi, so :).
Doooo iiiiit! You know you want to :D

Also, pretties are always good!

I hope work gets a lot less wtf soon!

I'm hmming and hahing about matters (as usual), go me. Nice things about "Morning Has Broken," I hope? *g* (daft little thing that it is lol) and if I wasn't after some kind of attention for my fic, I wouldn't archive in publicly accessible places (although the AO3 is a particular brand of awesome :D)

What I have is an overly large investment in a bunch of pixels shaped like a sentient cow druid. Oh, me, really?

But she's a very cute sentient cow druid :D

Definitely good things about 'Morning Has Broken'! I'm so behind on my comments, it's just ridiculous :/
I'd never read any Good Omens fic before, but now I really want to (also: Crowley/Aziraphale smut! Does such a thing exist, I wonder?)

AO3 is rather fabulous, isn't it? I've always found ff.net a little too overwhelming (it's just so huge :( ) but AO3 is just small enough to be not too scary, and the quality seems to be a little more consistent there? I don't know. That's just the impression I get. (And it's so easy to import stuff from LJ, which is nice).

I've been reading your Valdemar work over on Fanfiction.net for a while. I also happen to play WoW, so I know just how much of a time-suck WoW can be. Just thought I'd say I love your work, even if this isn't the best place for it, since I didn't know if you checked your fanfiction pm system anymore.

Hi! *waves*

I should actually get alerts if someone pings me via PM over at ff.net, but I appear both pingless and possessed of an empty inbox over there, so who knows *hands*

This LJ (and, by extension, my Dreamwidth) run on the basis that if you can see it, you can comment to it and, hey, the actual content of my post is only a guideline (if that!). Thanks for the kind words about my writing, which unfortunately appears to be broken at the moment (although this generally means that Teva'll stick her oar in fairly shortly, so it all evens out), woe. WoW is a suitable distraction from my impossible emo about writing (and I'm sticking to that excuse).

Now, if only the freaking NPC would spawn and let me finish grinding my Argent Crusade rep up to exalted... ;)

Here NPC.... nice NPC.... let cat kill ya already!

As for the writing? Only one thing for it.... sit your butt down, grab pen/keyboard/pencil and write! I'm outlining for a story in an AU Valdemar atm... and been wrestling with some timeline-y issues along with how Jisa dodges the whole, co-consort, being crowned queen parentage mess. I've decided she'll just be Herald Princess-Consort Jisa... that way she's not Queen, but still has right to rule next to Treven without the formal ring-a-morale of "Daughter of Randale and Rightful Queen of Valdemar" lie at coronation. Yeah, that one annoyed me for a bit, until I thought about Prince-Consort Darren. Thrilled with my own fix; and yet I have both Taver and a Companion named Tydair glaring at me from a corner of my brain... back to outlining I guess!

Now if only said written words didn't make me want to scream *eyeroll at self* I should go pester Jaelle, because she usually shakes me out of this incredible self-involvement by saying something inocuous that subsequently turns into a ridiculous romp involving Teva, which has the net effect of clearing out the ol' brain.

a story in an AU Valdemar atm.

That sounds very intriguing!

Annoyingly, it's the NPC i need to speak to in order to summon the NPCs for me to kill. Where aaaaare you, Squire David? I just want to let my druid beat on some Ally valiants, honest!
