INORITE? I had a feeling that something was off with that scene, but it wasn't until I went WMG that I realised JUST WHAT IT WAS.

And then I actually flailed in real life. Because OMG

YEAH. YEAAAAAAAAAAAAH. So so fair.

I feel like there's been another major moment this season so far where the Doctor did something like that and my subconscious twigged but not well enough to put words to it, but SO INTERESTING. oh man.

I'm... coming to the realisation that being vaguely offended that the 'LOOK, HERE IS THE ARC STORY' references to cracks and silence and the pandorica are SO DAMN OBVIOUS is actually really dumb of me. Because yes, they are obvious, but they're there as a feint, and Mr Moffat and Co. are merrily shovelling a metric tonne of foreshadowing into my mind without me even noticing and----and--man.

I think I'm in love.

I KNOW OMG. Someone else on my flist pointed that out too and IT'S TRUE. I freaking KNEW something was up with that scene. *is vindicated*

You are being SNEAKY, Moffat. This pleases me greatly. (If it's all just a continuity error I'm going to have to shoot myself in the foot or something.)

Hi, yes, this show is eating my brain, why do you ask?

If this is a continuity error then I may actually cry sad tears as opposed to angry ones. My faith in the Moff is strong, however, and I sincerely believe that someone who can concoct Weeping Angels, Vashta Nerada, clockwork men and gas mask children is incapable of that big a mistake.

They were so good about keeping the costume alteration consistent through the rest of the episode, too. Screwing up a close-up shot like that is almost unthinkable. And that scene feels different in tone, yeah? Like, it's a bit odd that he'd go off only to come right back and talk to her in a much more serious way, and it seems like the Doctor in that scene is in a different headspace than the one running madcap through a forest full of Angels.

...Watch as I talk myself into making this meaningful and awesome!
