Alright, having tooled around looking for the context of those uniforms in "Little Worlds"* I have to say that having Jack as "pre Doctor/Rose/everything" is probably the best. The look on his face, I took to mean "OMGWTFBBQ?!" or at least damn close to it. Which, from everything I've heard about Who canon, Jack wouldn't be, if it was post-Doc/Rose.

So, Jack gets scared the hell out of by that and it begins his descent into "con-man" Jack.

*I just had a thought about the uniforms. Considering the British Empire, and looking at those uniforms (not Jack's the vaguely mid-Eastern looking guys) I'm thinking Afghanistan/India/Pakistan. It would also fit the rather gold/tall grass coloured countryside that the train was going through. It'd make sense to have trains/tunnels and explains the vaguely mid-eEastern looking guys! *is proud of that*

I had one of those fairly slow days that seemed like nothing could get caught up on, too! 3 hour bilateral cryp neuter on a sheltie puppy, with a doctor who had only done 2 of those surgeries before. Ugh!

But yay for playing with kittens! Though I can't ever seem to avoid those tiny scratches, even from the nicest of kittens. ^^
