In the grocery store tonight I was picking out gum (I get the three-in-one packs in the candy aisle) and I notice "Stride" has a new(ish) flavor. I've never noticed it before - but I have no idea how long it has been on the shelves

I've never been a game-player, but that bit did crack me up completely. He's so excited and nostalgic, lol.

eta: "Mystery" worries me. It makes me think of school cafeterias (or worse) serving "mystery meat." (Think Sweeney Todd.)

Yeah. Mystery meat is standard fare at cafeterias and dining halls on high school and college campuses everywhere! Mystery gum... I mean it can't be that bad - its gum (not likely to turn you into a giant blueberry, but you never know...)! But I think I'm happy to let it remain a mystery!
