I found a copy. I bought it. It was expensive.

But heck, who needs to eat for two weeks? :-)

You are evil.

I own this one and have some pages flagged. Right as I ramp up to do Italian stuff, you mention German books and now I can't stop thinking about THAT. As I contemplate 15th c. flemish kirtles, you start blogging other stuff that seems equally enchanting and fun.

Yup. EVIL!

Are there portraits? Do they have spiffy jewelry in the portraits?

Having not heard of this book (SO not a costumer), the title made me think of a little rat running around on a warped-up loom. But you know I'm weird that way.

Yay! I lucked into a copy 5 years ago and its been worth every penny. You know about the online English translations of some parts of it, right?

Yes, thanks! And one of my apprentices wants to work on an additional translation, which should be very interesting :-) Now that she has access to the book, we're off and running.

Does she plan to post the translations online? I know Katherine pretty well and she'd love to see other people translate sections of it. I've worked a bit on some of the children's sections, but none of the women's sections, my German isn't as good as it appears.
