It is so good that Krolik doesn't read your journal. She loves that film and cannot stand any act of criticism!!! And I'm not sure if "my favourite class master" would be so happy reading that the film deserves C :) It's about fish!!! And nature!!! :)
By the way Krolik and Klucha wish you all the best and asked me to tell you that. So here I go! :)

Thanks for the pozdrowienie from Krolik and Klucha. Say hi to them too. Willow was fine with the comments about "The Big Blue" - realized that it's a very differnet experience at home and in the cinema, and that the uncut version is too long. Besides, Willow couldn't stand "Lost in Translation", so this evens the score!

You're being far to kind to The Big Blue. And Runaway Jury for that matter. I can only asume you never read the book. The book sucked, but at least it had a good ending. The movie butchered the ending. Blah. As for The Big Blue you could trim a good 4 or 5 hours off that thing at it would still seem like an eternity. I was so bored watching that thing I was forwarding thru the 8000 sex scenes. Add movie critic next to physics on the list of things Willow isn't very good at. ;)

Hey, Willow never claimed to be a movie critic, just to love that movie. I like "Doctor Who" - you know, to each their own and all that.

I'd never read "Runaway Jury". What I liked about it was the acting; I think the performances that were given elevated it above being a decidedly average court-room thriller with a few nice little twists. It's like with "21 Grams" - it could have been a TV movie but for the structure, acting and ambuguity of certain characters.

I'll look out for the book. You've intrigued me with that comment about the ending.

If you haven't read much Grisham you may enjoy the book. It's a light easy read but not much more then that. You are right that the performances in the movie were good. It actually is a pretty solid translation, and improves it in several areas. But I was really hoping they would keep the ending, but I'm sure it was one of the first things they cut out as it probably tested horribly.
